Can a property owner collect rentals from the occupant of his property even when there is no lease agreement?


 

Even when there is no lease agreement between the parties, or even when the parties ­- occupant and property owner – are strangers as against each other, still the occupant is liable to pay rent to the property owner by virtue of the forced lease that is created by the former’s use and occupation of the latter’s property.
