The Alburo Alburo and Associates Law Offices is set to hold its on-site seminar titled “Theft of company property: What to do when employees steal in the workplace?” on September 23, 2022, at the Alburo Law Training Center in Quezon City.
“It is unfortunate when employees steal from the company. For whatever reason, theft is theft, and the employer is justified to terminate the employee. The employer may file a criminal case, too,” the Firm said.
The said seminar aims to help in making workplaces safe and secure by discussing how employees can avoid company theft. As theft cases at work happen unpredictably, building solid cases against erring employees will also be covered.
“Although theft is a just cause for the termination of employment, due process must always be followed. Otherwise, the employer runs the risk of paying the erring employee a hefty amount of damages,” Alburo Law Offices added.
