AT A GLANCE:
Every third week of March of every year is declared as the “Philippine Industry and Made-in-the-Philippines Products Week”.

Proclamation No. 387 in 1957 highlights our shared dedication to helping local businesses, encouraging growth that lasts, and boosting our national spirit. This yearly celebration, happening every third week of March, is a lively salute to the many different industries and products that show off Filipino skill and smarts. Whether you’re in a busy city or a quiet countryside, this weeklong event shines a light on how Filipino workers, craftsmen, and business owners make our economy strong.

The law says:

WHEREAS, the last week of February of every year is “Philippine Industry and Made-in-the Philippines Products Week” under Proclamation No. 222 dated December 3, 1955; and

WHEREAS, the Philippine Chamber of Industries requests that this year’s celebration of the occasion be transferred to the third week of March;

What to Do During this Week?

During Philippine Industry and Made-in-the-Philippines Products Week, there are various ways to participate and show support for local businesses and products:

  1. Buy Local: One of the simplest yet most impactful ways to support Philippine industries is by purchasing locally-made products. By choosing these products, consumers help stimulate the local economy and create jobs for fellow Filipinos.

  1. Explore Philippine Industries: Take the opportunity during this week to learn more about the diverse industries that thrive in the Philippines. Whether it’s agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, or technology, each sector plays a vital role in the country’s economic growth.

  1. Promote Filipino Brands: Spread the word about Filipino brands and products through social media, word of mouth, or local events. Sharing positive experiences and recommendations can increase awareness and encourage others to support Philippine-made goods.

  1. Advocate for Local Policies: Support policies and initiatives that prioritize the growth and sustainability of Philippine industries.

By actively participating in this celebration and advocating for the growth and promotion of local businesses, we contribute to the continued prosperity and development of the Philippines.
