WHAT IS A SHORT SALE?

A short sale is a sale of a security that the seller does not own, or a sale consummated by the delivery of a borrowed security of the seller or for the account of the seller.
Directors, officers or principal shareholder of a corporation cannot make a short sale in securities of the corporation in which he is a director, officer, or principal shareholder.
Whenever the Securities and Exchange Commission, motu proprio or upon recommendation of the Exchange, prohibits short selling indefinitely or for such period as it may deem proper for the protection of the investors or as an emergency measure or whenever such short selling is necessary or appropriate in the public interest.

WHO MAY EXERCISE REGULATORY POWERS OVER RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT ACTIVITIES?

The Bureau of Local Employment shall promote full employment by facilitating access of Filipino jobseekers to local employment opportunities through policy researches, standards setting, strategy development, labor market analysis and provision of technical assistance to regional implementors in support of employment service operations.
The Department of Labor and Employment is the national government agency mandated to formulate and implement policies and programs, and serve as the policy-advisory arm of the Executive Branch in the field of labor and employment.

Strikes and lockouts in hospitals, clinics, and similar medical institutions shall be avoided by labor and management, as well as the government to minimize or prevent the adverse effects on life and health of patients.
The striking union or the locking-out employer shall maintain a skeletal workforce of medical and health personnel.
A public health worker may join a peaceful concerted activity for a legitimate cause or relevant issue shall be done only if such worker has filed for a leave or when he is off-duty.

Mutual Legal Assistance is the formal method of cooperation between two States the purpose of seeking assistance in the production of documents, asset freezing and forfeiture, extradition, enforcement of foreign judgment, and other kinds of legal assistance in criminal matters.
The legal assistance sought by the Requesting Party from the Requested Party is not without limitations.
