Private institutions that have breastfeeding or lactation stations shall be entitled to deduct the expenses they incurred for setting up these stations as deductible expenses for income tax purposes up to twice the actual amount incurred.

Nursing employees shall be granted break intervals in addition to the regular time off for meals to breastfeed or express milk. These intervals, which shall include the time it takes an employee to get to and from the workplace lactation station, shall be counted as compensable hours worked.
World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated in 120 countries pursuant to the Innocenti Declaration on the Protection, Promotion and Support of Breastfeeding and the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative, the International Code on the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and Related Products, and subsequent resolutions of the World Health Assembly, to which the Philippines is a signatory.
