By virtue of Wage Order No. NCR-24, the minimum wage for the agricultural sector in the National Capital Region is now at ₱573.00 marking a ₱40.00 increase.
The week beginning the fourth Sunday of October of every year is declared as “Barrio Farmers’ Week” by virtue of Proclamation No. 76, series of 1954.

The protection of consumer interest shall be geared towards the prevention of misrepresentation in the labelling and false advertising in the presentation of food, including their shape, appearance or packaging, the packaging materials used, the manner in which they are arranged, the setting in which they are displayed, and the product description including the information which is made available about them through whatever medium.
The month of October is declared as the Industry and Commerce Safety Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 115-A, s. 1966, whereby the year 1967 and every year thereafter was proclaimed as Safety and Accident Prevention Year, each month of the year to be devoted to a particular aspect of safety and accident prevention in various fields.
