EFFECT OF DESTRUCTION OF THING LEASED BY FORTUITOUS EVENT


  • If the thing leased is totally destroyed by a fortuitous event, the lease is extinguished.

  • If the destruction is partial, the lessee may choose between a proportional reduction of the rent and a rescission of the lease.

  • The partial destruction, under the circumstances, should be important or substantial as to defeat the purpose of the lessee in entering into the contract of lease.

RULE AMENDING SECTION 10 OF RULE VIII OF THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE LABOR CODE ON WAGE DEDUCTION


  • No employer shall make any deduction from the wages of his employees.

  • Wage deduction may be allowed when the worker is insured with his consent by the employer.

  • Wage deductions are allowed when the deductions are with written authorization of the employees for payment to the employer or a third person and the employer agrees to do so.
