The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) released Labor Advisory No. 18 on September 6, 2022, “to promote the safe reopening of the economy and contain the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace.”
According to the advisory, private establishments should comply with the Department of Health’s (DOH) memorandum on the updated guidelines for COVID-19 testing, isolation, and quarantine.
Establishments are also expected to adhere to the nationwide alert system mandated by the national government.
In every workplace, COVID-19 cases are to be reported by the employer’s designated safety officers to their respective local government units and to the DOH for investigation of the sources of transmission.
